ADVENTURES

SOLO 2 DARWIN

In May 2019, I'll be paying tribute to Amy Johnson, a true aviation hero, by following in her footsteps and flying solo from London, UK to Darwin, Australia in just 19 days in my vintage Tiger Moth. This will be my first major adventure since my diagnosis with breast cancer back in 2017 and my treatments, surgeries and healing in 2018.

Along my journey I'll be meeting with women pilots across the world, flying under a squadron badge honouring the colours of Amy Johnson's plane from her trip back in 1930.

I can't wait to take to the skies, inspire women to achieve and remind cancer survivors that it can get better! Follow my adventures using the hashtags #Solo2Darwin and #AmyandAmanda

In November 2019, I'm proud to be joining Team GB in The Vintage Air Rally, flying across the Americas from the world's most southernmost airport in Ushuaia, Argentina to the USA. This six week rally will push my plane to the limit and has never been attempted before in South America.

I can't wait to take on this challenge - I'm sure I'll have some great stories when we're finished!
