I haven’t posted for a long while, as it has been a very busy year! Moved house twice, got a Jet Job, and now am searching for a nursing home for my Dad. Alzheimer’s disease is up there with the cruellest form of torture. It tortures my Dad and us, a disease to share! He is in Hospital at the moment, asking when he can come home? It breaks my heart to think I now am putting him in a home, because of the falls I can not keep him safe at home. Flying is still one of the things that links us and the smile on his face when he heard how Prince Philip liked, my dad’s model of the Waterbird was great. It may seem to some people that applying for a competition in between hospital visits is heartless. However I know my wonderful Dad would approve and I need something to look forward to rather than hospital questions.
